I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Tara DeWitte, and it is truly an honor to serve as Principal of KSE. I am deeply grateful to be part of this incredible school community and to support our students, staff, and families in New Castle. It takes a village to raise and educate children, and I am proud to be part of the KSE village.
I am a Colorado native and grew up primarily in Glenwood Springs before attending Fort Lewis College in Durango. I returned to the valley to complete my student teaching at KSE, a place that has long held a special place in my heart. During college, I completed much of my practicum work here while my father, Bill Zambelli, served as principal. After graduation, I began my career teaching second grade at KSE. I later served as an Instructional Coach at Riverside Middle School and Cactus Valley Elementary before returning to Kathryn Senor to coach academics. KSE has shaped me both personally and professionally, and I care deeply about the people who make this school so special.
New Castle is home to my children and me, and I cherish being part of this community and all that this valley offers. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, running, hiking, skiing, skinning, and reading.
My greatest hope is to continue building on the traditions, relationships, and excellence that make KSE such a magical place for children to learn and grow.
